We’re pinning down the details.
Even with all the huge steps we’ve taken to open up the Silver Door, sometimes it’s the small ones that really hit home. Take, for example, the arrival of our brand new SDG hard enamel pins:
These pins are 1¼" tall and wide, and they shine in a way no camera can capture. We love how the lines in between enamel areas give the whole logo an art deco feel! And they have locking backs, so no worrying about them falling off of your favorite jacket or bag.
Also, we’re finally flying our favorite flag:
Here are some more news points for this week:
- Our public calendar of events is finally online. If you have ideas for events you’d like somebody to run – especially if that somebody is you! – don’t hesitate to let us know through our quick event survey.
- Starting on November 6 at 2pm to 5pm, and going forward, we plan to hold a Looking for Group Social on the first Friday of each month. These will be open to all with an interest in tabletop roleplay. Come enjoy light refreshments and conversation about our favorite hobby! Heck, come on in even if it’s only your second-favorite hobby. We won’t judge, promise.
- Membership already brings with it many benefits, but that won’t stop us from adding more such as this: Starting now, every member of the Silver Door gets a free two-hour rental once every six months!
- We’re also introducing a simple referral program for members. If someone signs up or spends $20 and says you introduced them to us, we’ll credit you a month towards your next free rental. Refer six friends and get that free two-hour rental early!
- You can start your membership in person at the Door, or online. We also have an online reservation system.
- If you haven’t yet, please take a moment to fill out our player survey – it really helps us plan our events and offerings. If you’re a GM, artist, or other creative in the TTRPG space, there’s also our creator survey. Both are brief, private, and as anonymous as you like. (We’ll never sell or give your data to anyone else, and that’s a guarantee.)
It’s been a slightly slow-seeming week as we balance our need to dig through the rest of our early tasks with our need to pace ourselves, especially after the excitement of our first few days open. As enthusiastic as we are about the place, we recognize that work/life balance is necessary. We wish good health for everyone, including ourselves!
As always, thank you for reading. Oh, and don’t forget to vote!
